5 Months!

I am only 2 days late with the 5 month post!  We do not have a 5 month appointment with the doctor, so we don't have any formal stats.  My very official way of weighing Elizabeth is weighing myself and then weighing myself holding her...I am sure it is very reliable;)

A lot has changed in the past month with our "little" baby!  The week before Christmas two bottom teeth came in!  The weekend before my parents were babysitting and my dad said he felt like there was a tooth coming through, sure enough a few days later there it was!  Then, the next day or so we saw another one!  There have been a few times that Elizabeth seems to have been in pain, but nothing too bad (or at least for us;)).  The other big changes are starting to sit up and rolling over.  She has been able to roll over for a long time now, but now Elizabeth rolls over every time we put her in her crib.  The first few nights it was tough, we would put her down, she would roll onto her tummy, hold herself up with her arms and cry until we rolled her back over.  Now though, she actually prefers to sleep on her tummy, she rolls over as soon as we put her in her crib and she goes right to her tummy and seems more comfortable.

Which brings up another point - sleep training.  We were going strong before Christmas, but with traveling, and us not staying consistent....we weren't very successful for very long.  Finally Friday night after David was the one getting up, he agreed she was not getting a good sleep.  So, Saturday we started again, and so far, so good!  I realize I am only talking two days here, but after two nights of successful sleep and three days of 2+ hour naps, it feels great!!  And, our happy baby is back again!

The biggest news is that Elizabeth started solids!  We started with rice cereal last week, she did well, but had no concept of actually swallowing the food.  Then, we did 3 days of bananas, she was not impressed.  However, today she tried avocado and LOVED it, she actually swallowed it and wanted more!

Here are a few pictures!  The older Elizabeth gets, the harder it is to take pictures when she is moving all over the place.  She wanted no part of the monkey and she was done by the last picture.
