No way! I can't believe it's been 9 months (on Sunday, May 4th) since Elizabeth has been born. I want to freeze time!!! She has almost been in the outside world for as long as I was pregnant!
She has grown up so much, it's hard to remember what it was like when she didn't move around. The big highlights this month include pulling herself up on EVERYTHING, no more breastfeeding, and more personality. With 8 teeth, breastfeeding became more difficult, so we have 100% switched to formula....it was hard to come to this conclusion, but in the end, it had to be done. If there is anything - a chair, a couch, a laundry basket, her crib, the side of the bathtub - Elizabeth pulls herself up on it. Elizabeth definitely knows her mom and dad now, she has started to have a little stranger anxiety. If she's tired, she wants me and no one else.
Sleep is SO much better now!! Elizabeth is finally on a great schedule, two hour nap in the morning and an hour or longer in the afternoon. She still prefers to go to bed at 6:30, sleeps through the night (wohoo) and wakes up around 6 or 6:30 am (I'm not going to lie, it's a bit rough in the morning).
We have lots of conversations too now! There are times when it's obvious Elizabeth wants to say something so badly. I can't wait for her to start talking more!! We are still taking music classes on Mondays, and that's still so much fun! It's so much fun to see Elizabeth interact with the other babies, she is always reaching out for their hands, hair and legs. Although, the girl has a STRONG pinch, so that also means I am rushing to stop her from harming the other children.
Eating is still hit or miss. Our girl is definitely MUCH more interested in what we are eating rather than any purees.
Below are the stats from the 9 month appointment today. I asked the doctor about her percentiles going down so much in weight since she was born, he assured me that she was just a big baby when she was born and now she is catching up with her genetics. Elizabeth also got her iron level tested today and another hepatitis shot. She did well with just a few tears.
Weight - 17lbs. 1 oz. (10-25th percentile)
Length - 26in (3-10th percentile)
Head - 44cm (50-75th percentile)
As you can tell from the pictures below, it's getting more difficult to get monthly pictures without the sticker being eaten.
P.S. still waiting for more hair!
