Week in Pictures Days 43 - 53

Day 43 - Wednesday, February 12, 2014
David made one of our favorites for dinner, pork chops!

Day 44- Thursday, February 13, 2014
Here we go again...more snow!  David worked from home today.  I feel like we are on repeat with the weather.

Day 45- Friday, February 14, 2014
Happy Valentine's Day!!!  Elizabeth and I spent the day with friends, then made  heart shaped chocolate cake.  David came home from work and we went out to dinner at City Diner, probably not the most fancy Valentine's Dinner we've ever had, but definitely the best!  David surprised me with hunter boots that I have wanted for a long time!

Day 46 - Saturday, February 16, 2014
We had a relaxing day at home, and took a few walks around our neighborhood.  The snow is still everywhere!  This is the time of year when we are thankful for the ridiculously expensive monthly parking garage in our building.

Day 47- Sunday, February 16, 2014
We were able to catch giggles on camera again!

Day 48 - Monday, February 17, 2014
E and I ran errands while we waited for my parents to arrive for a visit.

Day 49 - Tuesday, February 18, 2014
My parents and I were out and ran into a CVS.  I decided to get Elizabeth's passport photo taken since we were there and she was actually awake (this girl can't stay awake very long once you put her in the stroller).  I can't look at this picture without laughing, it cracks me up every.single.time.

Day 50 - Wednesday, February 19, 2014
This day was non stop for me, and probably the longest I have been away from Elizabeth.  She didn't notice, and I think it was harder for me than it was for her.  My dad and I went to get Elizabeth's birth certificate (driving around here stinks, I try to avoid it at all costs, so I waited to get it until my parents were here so I didn't have to take Elizabeth, because you never know if there's going to be parking, and I had a driver- my dad), then I had a dentist appointment, after that I went into the city for lunch with some friends, and came home for about an our before going back to the city to meet David to see Motown.  The entire time I felt like I was forgetting something (or someone);)  We had high expectations for Motown, and it was much better than we expected.  Smokey Robinson was in the audience too, for his birthday!

 Day 51 - Thursday, February 20, 2014
My babysitters parents headed home, and Elizabeth and I met up with some friends for a walk since it was a balmy 45 degrees!

Day 52 - Friday, February 21, 2014
David took the day off to start his birthday weekend!  We had a nice day at home.

Day 53 - Saturday, February 22, 2014
HAPPY 33rd BIRTHDAY DAVID!!!  We had such a nice day celebrating, and the weather was fabulous - 50 degrees!  We started out at MoMA....I am not a big fan of modern art, in fact I think Elizabeth could create some of the same stuff on display, but I will say the layout of this museum is great, and we had a nice time.

After the museum, we walked down to the West Village for an early dinner at The Marrow.  (http://themarrownyc.com/).  I was a little nervous about taking a baby to this restaurant, but I don't even think people noticed her!  She was on the booth next to me playing with a toy the entire time we were there - I picked her up for these pictures and put her right back down.  It was almost comical how awesome she was at dinner!

This week will be a busy one!  We start swim lessons on Wednesday!!!  Oh, and of course, we are supposed to get more snow on Wednesday and Saturday!

Week in Pictures Days 31-42

I am way behind!  But, I am really trying to keep up with the daily pictures.

Day 31 - Friday, January 31, 2014
We had a lazy day at home before the super bowl weekend!  Practicing our sitting up skills!

Day 32 - Saturday, February 1, 2014
The weather was in the 40s..the nicest day we've had in a long time!  We headed to the city to Superbowl Boulevard, where they had a ton of activities for the big game.  We stopped at "The Burger Joint" for lunch.  Luckily there were only 4 people in line in front of us when we got there, but when we left, there was a line of 50 people.  My parents also celebrated their 45th anniversary today!

Day 33 - Sunday, February 2, 2014
We had a nice, relaxing day at home and then watched the pathetic Superbowl.  Elizabeth was in bed before it even started.

Day 34 - Monday, February 3, 2014

More snow - 8 inches to be exact!  Music class was cancelled today.

Day 35 - Tuesday, February 4, 2014
6 months today!!  Elizabeth did so well at her appointment and handled the 2 shots like a champ!  Afterwards, we hung out with two friends and their babies. Elizabeth had fun climbing on top of one of the boys' faces!!

Day 36 - Wednesday, February 5, 2014
More SNOW!!

Day 37 - Thursday, February 6, 2014
Jill arrived!  After we picked her up at the train station, we chilled out for the rest of the day!

 Day 38 - Friday, February 7, 2014
We headed to Short Hills Mall for the day.  Then, Jill and I went out to a bar in the city Friday night for a friend's birthday.  I don't know the last time I have been in a bar past 8:00 before tonight.

Day 39 - Saturday, February 8, 2014
We headed to Chinatown for Dim Sum. It was an experience, and I can only imagine how over stimulating it was for Elizabeth. Saturday night we were all exhausted, and I think everyone was asleep by 9:30!

Day 40 - Sunday, February 9, 2014
Jill left :( We drove her to the train station and chilled out for the day.  Someone still loves to eat their toes!

Day 41 - Monday, February 10, 2014
Elizabeth and I went shopping with a friend and her baby.  Then, in the afternoon, we went to music class. One of these days, I will remember to take pictures at class.

 Day 42 - Tuesday, February 11, 2014
We headed into the city (wearing our new valentine's sweatshirt from Auntie Jill) to meet Liann.  Afterwards, we met up with David before riding the ferry back home.

1/2 Birthday - 6 months!!

Yesterday was Elizabeth's 6 month birthday!!!  We celebrated by going to her 6 month appointment and getting two shots.  She did very well!

Weight - 14 lbs. 8.5oz  (25-50th percentile)
Length- 25 in
Head- 42 cm

To compare, here are her measurements at 4 months (no 5 month appt)

Weight - 14 pounds (50-75th percentile)
Length - 23.5 cm. (25th percentile)
Head - 41 (50-75th percentile)

Right now, Elizabeth has decided to do log rolls everywhere, instead of crawling.  She gets easily frustrated if something is in front of her and she can't reach it, so she rolls in a circle until she gets there.  EVERYTHING, and I mean everything, goes in her mouth.  I am wondering why we even bother to buy toys when the preferred toy is the remote control or my arm;)  Elizabeth eats every three hours now, and naps either two long naps a day or three short naps day.  She loves taking baths!  So far, Elizabeth has had avocados, apples, pears, sweet potatoes, and bananas.  She is still not that interested in eating solids, and hasn't mastered the concept of swallowing the food yet.  Elizabeth loves putting her feet in her mouth, and at some point during the day she takes her socks off and chews on them too.  The doctor asked if she has stranger anxiety, she definitely does not, she is happy as long as someone is around and will let anyone hold her.  Music class has become a favorite activity, and she is very friendly to the other babies. In fact, yesterday we were at a friend's house, and she managed to make her away over the other baby and plant her face right on top of his.

Here are a few pictures!
