Disney World - Part 4

On Saturday we headed to Hollywood Studios.  We were there for the gates to open because it was the magic hour day at that park.  As soon as the park opened, we ran to Toy Story Mania (along with every other person in the park).  The ride was so much fun, and we only had about a 20 minute wait.  There weren't long lines for anything really, so we got to ride everything we wanted to, and in David's case, multiple times for some rides.

The amount of strollers in all the parks is INSANE.  This is just one little section in Hollywood Studios.

Another great day, and the Christmas decorations there were beautiful!

Disney World - Part 3

On Friday, we took a break from the parks and hung out around our resort.  We also went to the Disney Boardwalk and to a few other resorts.  Since we went at the end of November, the Christmas decorations were up - which were beautiful.  The pictures below were taken in the lobby of the Grand Floridian Resort.  It is getting more and more difficult to get pictures of Elizabeth since she runs around all the time!

We made reservations for dinner at an Animal Kingdom Resort for dinner, at Sanaa.  The dinner was excellent, and overlooked a "savanna" with animals roaming around.

After dinner, we headed back to our hotel and we all passed out!

Disney World - Part 2 Magic Kingdom

Thursday morning we woke up early to go to the Magic Kingdom.  We chose to go there on Thursday because it was the extra magic hour day - which means if you are staying on any Disney Resort they open an hour early for you at a different park each day.  We did fast passes for a few rides, but because we got there early, we were able to get on all the rides without lines, so we were able to change our fast passes for other rides.   Elizabeth liked the rides she was able to do, but at the same time seemed a bit confused.  It worked out well with my being pregnant, David was able to use my fast pass on the roller coasters so that he could ride them twice.

Waiting for the entrance to open!

Florida - Part 1

I'm back!  I think about blogging every day and then I never get around to actually doing it.  I have a lot to catch up on!  Slowly but surely, I'll get it all on here.

In November, David had to make a work trip down to Florida, so Elizabeth and I decided to join him.  Elizabeth was still a tad young to appreciate Disney, but because David was going anyway, we decided to go ahead and make the trip.  We had  fantastic time and Elizabeth was a trooper!   Thank goodness we have a daughter who likes to fly, she slept almost the entire flight down.

Sunday until Wednesday we stayed in downtown Orlando where David was working.  Elizabeth and I shopped the outlets, and hung out in the hotel.  We also met Kevin's mom, Suzanne, for lunch at Downtown Disney one day, which was so much fun, she's so sweet!!!  Wednesday morning, we had breakfast with David, and then headed back up to the room before we were going to go explore.  Elizabeth was running through the hotel room and tripped, slipping and hitting her head on the corner of the dresser.  Her forehead immediately started bruising, and I started to panic because she wasn't really crying, but it looked so painful!  After sending a picture to David, we both agreed she should go to the ER just to be on the safe side.  Luckily there was a fantastic children's hospital within a mile of our hotel.  They couldn't have been nicer to us and gave Elizabeth two stuffed animals to take home.  Long story short, she got to watch Disney cartoons in the hospital bed, and the doctor knew she was fine as soon as he walked in the room.  (Thankfully, he told me I was not overreacting by bringing her, and that you can never overreact with a head injury, so I didn't feel like the overprotective parent that I know I can be at times!)

Wednesday we headed to our Disney Resort, we stayed at Disney's Movie Resort - one of the value resorts.  For us, being on the resort is so important, and we don't really care about the size of the room because we barely spend any time there, it was clean and perfect for us.

Thursday I felt like a little kid on Christmas morning, I woke up at 5am so excited to go to the Magic Kingdom.  Friday, we spent the day at Downtown Disney, the Boardwalk and around Disney grounds. Saturday we went to Hollywood Studios.  I'll post about it in another post!  We had such a fun time!

September and October

It's been a while and we have been busy!!!  In September we went back to Columbus, Ohio for the first time since we moved away four years ago.  Not much has changed, and it was fun to see where we used to live and hang out.  We also saw my mom's side of the family since the reason for going back was my cousin's wedding.

Our old house looks the same!

No trip to Columbus would be complete without eating at Schmidt's!  Everything tasted just as good as it did in the past!

In October we celebrated Halloween!  It has become nearly impossible to get good pictures of Elizabeth because she doesn't stop moving.  On Halloween morning Elizabeth and I went with our friends to a little parade in the neighborhood...it was so cute to see everyone dressed up!  Later on that day, we went back out with our friends and our husbands met us in downtown Jersey City for a Halloween festival.  There were booths set up for the kids to trick or treat at, and it was perfect for their age.  Elizabeth dressed up as a cabbage patch kid, and she LOVED the candy!

November was a VERY busy month for us too, and I promise to blog about it sooner rather than later:)
